Really listening
It can be difficult to feel truly listened to. Often the other person is caught up in their own world or quick to offer advice — advice that might work for them, but not for you.
And sometimes, it’s other people who are part of the problem.
I’ll be listening closely, and carefully. There’s no judgement, and you’ll have the space you need.
Anchored in the present
Most of the time, we’re not really here — our thoughts race ahead to what might happen, or loop back to what already has. They’re rarely tuned in to what’s happening right now.
But the here and now is where we get perspective — on the past, on what’s ahead — and that opens up more choice than we might think.
Let’s stay close to what’s happening now, and work from there.
Really noticing
When we slow down, we often find there’s more going on than we thought.
You might notice how your thoughts pull your emotions this way and that — or you might feel… not much at all.
Whatever you’re experiencing, let’s work with that.
What your body’s telling you
We’re often so caught up in our heads that we miss what the body’s trying to say. But it’s always saying something — through breath, posture, even restless hands — and it always tells the truth.
These messages matter. Let’s pay attention to them too.
